Speaker Bio: Guy Kawasaki
Guy Kawasaki is the chief evangelist of Canva and the creator of Guy Kawasaki’sRemarkable Peoplepodcast. He is an executive fellow of the Haas School of Business (UC Berkeley), and adjunct professor of theUniversity of New South Wales. He was the chief evangelist of Apple and a trustee of theWikimedia Foundation. He has written Wise Guy, The Art of the Start 2.0,The Art of Social Media,Enchantment, andeleven other books. Kawasaki has a BA from Stanford University, an MBA from UCLA, and an honorary doctorate from Babson College.
Speaker Bio: Prasanna Ranganathan
Prasanna Ranganathan (B.A. (Saskatchewan), J.D. (Victoria), LL.M. (Columbia Law School)) has worked as a lawyer, diversity and inclusion leader, speaker, and social media strategist. He is currently the Senior Lead of Diversity and Belonging at Shopify leading the development of Shopify’s Global Diversity and Belonging Strategy. He previously served as Senior Legal Counsel at the Independent Street Checks Review, Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice Canada, Senior Special Advisor at Federal Judicial Affairs Canada, a labour and employment lawyer in private practice, and as an advisor at the United Nations Development Programme. A contributor to HuffPost, CBC, and Oprah.com, Prasanna has designed social media campaigns for film studios and high-profile media leaders including Arianna Huffington and Oprah Winfrey. He is an Associate Producer of Dream, Girl, a documentary on women entrepreneurs that premiered at the Obama White House in May 2016. A social media & red carpet correspondent, Prasanna has covered the red carpets at the 2019 Academy Awards, the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards, and the 2018 CTV Upfront. Proudly claiming his identity as an LGBTQ2+ racialized (South Asian) person with a disability (legal blindness), Prasanna is a seasoned speaker on diversity and inclusion, speaking at: the 2017 Walrus Talks Canada 150 Tour, the annual Toronto International Film Festival inclusion and accessibility training, and the 2019 International Women’s Day Summit on Parliament Hill in Canada.

Andrea Brown is a native New Yorker and seasoned multimedia sales leader with over 14 years experience representing top global brands including BET, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and eBay among others. She relocated to SF upon joining Google in 2018 to manage the global Facebook Brand business. Today, she is Head of Industry, TechB2B coaching a high-performing Account team to unlock strategic partnerships and drive sustainable growth rooted in client objectives.

Michelle Slater is an award-winning marketer, with 20 years of leadership experience in strategy development, consulting and execution within social, digital and traditional marketing disciplines for both B2B and B2C audiences. As the Head of Business Marketing at Twitter Canada, Michelle leads the strategic planning and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of Twitter with Fortune 100 brands in Canada. Prior to joining Twitter, Michelle pioneered social media marketing at RBC. Michelle is an avid runner, a marathon coach and she is also an event co-lead of the North America chapter of Twitter Women, an employee resource group to advance women in technology.

Christopher Doyle is the Managing Director of Nextdoor, the neighbourhood app. A strong leader and advocate for using social media for good, Christopher previously served as the Head of Partnerships for Twitter Canada. He has also held leadership positions at Canadian media companies including the CBC.

Carol Cain is a Brooklyn native, by way of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. She has a degree in Communications, a career she focused on before venturing into the world of travel. It was this work that convinced her that she wanted to address the lack of representation and diversity in marketing and media. So in 2017, she launched her branding and social media marketing agency, Brave World Media.

For the last ten years Steve has been the owner of Prime Data, a growing marketing technology company that specializes in highly personalized and targeted printed mail. Speaker Bio: Samantha Vlasceaunu
Samantha Vlasceaunu, The TikTok Coach (@thetiktokcoachsamv) is on a mission to convince businesses and brands that TikTok is not just for teenagers! She is an entrepreneur, mom of two, and TikTok coach. Sam is rapidly becoming the go-to source for learning the app and teaching businesses/brands how to grow followers and convert them into paying customers. When COVID-19 hit, her business (@travelingmunchkin) had to shut down and she had to pivot - FAST. That's when she realized that she'd been using TikTok all along and had grown her following to over 125k in just months. Light bulb moment: Maybe she should be teaching others how to do that too! Fast forward to today and Sam works with social media strategists, parents, accountants, lawyers, fitness trainers - you name it... Beyond the tips and tricks (which she is a wizard at) she helps businesses learn how to use this rapidly growing app as a sales funnel for their business.

Fatima Zaidi is the CEO and co-founder of Quill Inc., the world’s first one-stop marketplace where podcasters can find pre-vetted expert freelancers who will save them time, improve their podcast quality, and help grow their audience. With the expertise of veteran technical marketers, unique access to podcasting data, and a CEO that comes from a sales hacking background, she has positioned Quill to be a fast-growing company. As an early adopter, Zaidi saw the promise and opportunity in the podcasting industry. This was only reinforced by her experience in marketing agency roles where clients were increasingly looking for exposure on existing podcasts or had aspirations to start their own.
She is also the owner of the Listen In Conference held in LA that supports brands moving into podcasting.
As a member of the National Speakers Bureau, Fatima has spoken at various events around the world on media and tech trends leading her to keynote on world stages alongside speakers like Gary Vaynerchuk, and most recently Richard Branson. In addition to being a commentator for BNN Bloomberg, she is a frequent contributor to publications including The Globe and Mail, and Huffington Post.
Over the past few years she has won two Top 30 under 30 awards, the Young Professional of the Year by Notable Life, and one of Flare Magazine’s Top 100 Women.

Sheba is the founder of Mahara Mindfulness which she launched in 2020 and the creator of The Human Being Journal which was included in Oprah’s Healthy Living ‘O’ List. Sheba has completed a course on Buddhism and Modern Psychology at Princeton University and has a Bachelor’s degree from McGill University. Aside from Mahara, Sheba has co-founded a wine tour company called The County Wine Tours, based out of Prince Edward County. In her former life she was a communications consultant and has previously interned at the United Nations in NYC. Fun fact: Sheba is followed by Barack Obama and Britney Spears on Twitter.
