  • Where can I review the full schedule?

    The most up-to-date full schedule is available now as a PDF document here. The schedule will also be available in the Hopin virtual event software about a week before the event.

  • I've purchased a ticket, how do I access the SocialAtHome virtual event on September 23rd and 24th

    Watch your email a few days before our event for information about how to sign in to our conference hosting platform - Hopin.

    If you can't find the email, please check your spam and promotions folder, and try searching your email for "EventBrite", "Hopin", or "SocialAtHome".

  • What are the technical requirements for attending SocialAtHome?

    To watch and participate in the SocialAtHome virtual conference, you will need a desktop or laptop computer and you will need to use a recently updated version of the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browser.

    The Safari and Microsoft Edge/Explorer web browsers are not compatible with our virtual conference platform - Hopin.

    The event cannot be viewed reliably on mobile devices or tablets.

    If you use a Mac and using the Big Sur version of MacOS, it is best to connect to the event via an incognito tab in Google Chrome.

  • Who do I contact if I have a technical issue relating to SocialAtHome?

    We have a text number specifically for technical questions: 587-870-6702. This number can only accept text messages, not phone calls. Our team will be monitoring this number and will assist with your technical issues.

    As we often receive a lot of messages at the beginning of the conference, we ask that all participants run this setup test to identify and correct any common issues before texting:

  • How can I be sure that my computer is set up to watch and participate in SocialAtHome?

    The most important technical requirements are using the Google Chrome or Firefox web browser on a desktop or laptop computer (not a mobile device or tablet).

    To test your device set up in advance, simply visit the Hopin Pre-Event Check now. This will help you troubleshoot any issues before SocialAtHome starts.

  • DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?

    We are unable to offer refunds or ticket transfers for SocialAtHome tickets. If you think you may not be able to attend enough of the live sessions on September 23rd and 24th, you can purchase an upgraded ticket that provides access to a full archive of all conference sessions for 30 days following the event.   • WHO ORGANIZES SOCIALATHOME?

    SocialAtHome was created by Mike Morrison. Mike is the creator of Canada's largest digital marketing event series - SocialWest, SocialEast, and SocialCentral - attended by over 1,200 each year.   • I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA OR DIGITAL MARKETER. IS SOCIALATHOME STILL RIGHT FOR ME?

    Absolutely -- SocialAtHome is for anyone using social or digital marketing to do better business. Most of our attendees are professionals who use these tactics as a part of a larger marketing program because they own their own business or work within small departments. All of our speakers are there to teach, not just talk, so you'll receive valuable instruction and have a chance to ask your questions. Plus, SocialAtHome offers two different sessions for every hour so you can pick which is the best fit for your skill level and/or skill area that needs improvement. And of course, because this is a virtual event, you will have full access to recorded versions of all conference sessions for 30 days following the event. You don't have to worry about missing anything!

  • Do you offer Student discounts?

    Yes, we are offering a special discounted ticket for students with valid student ID from an accredited technical institute, college, or university in Canada. This ticket can be accessed through our ticket page. Note that we will request a photo of your valid student ID card after your purchase is complete.

  • Do you offer nonprofit discounts?

    Yes, we are offering a limited opportunity for nonprofit discounts. For details, please send an email to info@socialathome.ca along with the name of the organization, which province and city you’re located in, and the number of tickets you may be interested in purchasing.

  • WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ATTENDING?

    As a friendly reminder, when you complete your ticket purchase, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

    SOCIALATHOME CODE OF CONDUCT: The SocialAtHome conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Conference participants violating these rules may be expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers. At our sole discretion, and without refund, conference organizers reserve the right to expel from the conference, and any associated events, anyone that we determine is behaving in a manner that could be disruptive to the conference or any other attendee.

    SOCIALATHOME PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: From time to time, our events use photographs and videos of conference events in its promotional materials, on its website, and its social media accounts. By virtue of your attendance at SocialAtHome sessions and events, all conference visitors agree to the use of their likeness in such materials.     LIABILITY: SocialAtHome and Bloggity Inc. will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by attendees or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property as a result of the SocialAtHome or any related events.
